Hi all,

I have a serious problem which I am on to since two days now and did not
find any solution.
I installed the MSDE 2000 on my computer and created a database using the
Enterprise Manger from SQL-Server 2000. When I want to create an ADP-Project
I cannot connect to my SQL-Server instance on my computer. It does not even
show it in the list of available servers. I always get an error message that
tells me 'error during listing of data-servers' 'Enumerator states Unknown
error'. This is only a translation of my error message, since my MSDE is
installed in German.
Anyone here, who could help me out?

Any answer appreciated
Günter

For reasons unknown to me, I have always found that nothing shows in the
list of servers (not even local servers) unless the computer is connected to
a network. However, it connects OK if you simply type in the server name.

Thats what I tried also, but was unsuccessful....
until I reinstalled my MSDE. Now it works properly, when I type the name of
the server manually. Thanks for your answer.

regards
Günter
