what happen if you delete the program ?

No, you do not need Adobe to run on Windows XP.
However, if you wish to read .PDF files, you'll need
to install the Adobe Reader, which is a free download.

Adobe Acrobat is the best known *.pdf file reader, but there are others
available. Run a Google search for them.

"Adobe" by itself means nothing. Are you talking about Adobe Reader, Adobe
Photoshop, etc., etc.?

None of them are essential to the operation of XP. However, many places put
pdf documents on their web sites, and the easiest way to read them is with
Adobe Reader (it is a free download).

You use Photoshop for image creation, editing, etc. Unless you do such
tasks, you don't need Photoshop. Even then, you might find that Photoshop
Elements is enough for you (not to mention all of the other image processing
programs).

So, the tools you need are those with help you get your work done.
