i went to download adobe reader and i keep getting a error message 1155

Give Foxit Reader a try http://www.foxitsoftware.com/ . Nothing to install
and once you open one .pdf file with it I'm sure you'll enjoy it much better
than Adboe Reader

I second your recommendation but I am not sure about your comment
"Nothing to install"! Foxit Reader.exe is 2,616 kb on my system and
there are other lesser associated files.
My standard blurb is

I second your recommendation but I am not sure about your comment
"Nothing to install"! Foxit Reader.exe is 2,616 kb on my system and
there are other lesser associated files.

I disagree, strongly.
Merely installing Foxit hijacks some file associations, without
warning. And there's no uninstall procedure.
Let me repeat that: there's no uninstall procedure.
That wouldn't matter quite so much if Foxit could actually replace
Acrobat Reader, but it can't. For instance, it doesn't work with my
CDs of New Yorker cartoons.

Obviously I remember that it hijacked the PDF type association. There

process. The versions available now do.
This is the latest version.
Eventually we will merge Foxit Reader Pro with Foxit Reader standard
version, so, we recommend everyone to try the new Pro version (including
everything in Foxit Reader, and more. Most features are accessible
freely). It can be downloaded as an installer
