Adobe Photoshop 4 & Windows XP Home

How can I install and run Adobe Photoshop 4 without the
program hijacking Windows Picture & Fax Viewer?

As is, with Adobe loaded, trying to view a sent/received
fax opens Adobe over Microsoft. Unfortuanately Adobe can't
view the fax due an error indicating incompatability with
the TIFF image / compression.

I've tried to 'custom' load Adobe into a separate folder
with no success. Is it possible to use both Adobe 4.0 &
Win Fax Picture viewer independently??

Rick - try the open with feature. One of the problems I've
found with XP is that it associated files types - some
times not the way you want them to - once you tell xp to
open a certain type of file like a tiff with one kind of
program it wants to always use that method to open the
file. You can change that behavior by right clicking on
the file and using the open with command.
