Adobe PDF appearing in menu bar

How can I get rid of the Adobe PDF menu option? I remove it from the
menu bar but the next time I log into the system, it redisplays.

I'm in a catch 22. The only way the Add-Ins option is available is if
I open the database. I do want to accept the warning message
therefore cannot open the database. I've now discovered that the user
who wasn't getting this message is now also getting this message so
whatever caused the error with my id is now affecting others as well.
Was there anything that you know of put out by Microsoft that would
cause this warning message?

No, because your version of Access does not come preloaded with Adobe PDF,
nor is it part of any Service Packs. SO unless you are willing to open it I
know of no other way to remove it.

I am now getting another security warning when I selected Add Ins - it
points to an MDE file in the microsoft office directory.
