I just recently bought a new Dell w/ Win XP Home Edition.
Installed both my Adobe Acrobat Reader & Photo Deluxe
programs without a hitch!!
Worked fine for several days, now all of a sudden
everytime I open up the programs, I get the following
error:

Photo Deluxe (or Adobe Acrobat Reader) Executable has
encountered a problem and needs to close.

After reveiwing the Error report, the following appears:

App name: pd.exe AppVer: 1.0.128.0
ModName: codtypedim.dll ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0002371d

and then the program closes out!!

So I decided to uninstall and reinstall the programs.

Same thing still happens...
So I tried restoring my computer back to before I
installed these programs, but then the same thing happens
a day or 2 later, I'm back to the same problem.

Any suggestions? Since these programs are NOT Dell
installed software, they will not help me out on tech
support.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, as I use
these programs FAITHFULLY everyday for photo editing and
work.

Please advise.

For your reference:

After upgrading to Win-XP from Win98,
whenever I opened PhotoDeluxe v1.0 as well as v2.0,
I got a strange error message which stated that "Not enough memory"!!!

The problem had solved after increasing "the size of the virtual memory" to
3072 MB!
(How come?
My computer has 1G physical memory and my display card has its own memory.)

The programmer did not take into consideration the larger numbers that
might someday be available for memory and did not make allowances for it.
The program has no choice but to follow the logic as written by the
programmer and will ignore "what is." If I remember correctly, both of
those programs are win95 era. V2 may have been early win98. Both are
"ancient" in computer terms. Nice programs though.
