Adobe reader

I bought a copy of Adobe photoshop elements 5.0 and it also has Adobe 7.0
or 8.0 on the cd for installation.
I am using Windows Xp home with SP2 on a 2.66 Pentium 4 with 512 megs of
Rd-ram memory.
I know to remove Adobe reader 6.0 from the system before installing a new
version of reader.
Do I also remove Acrobat 5.0 before installing the newer reader off the
Adobe cd.
My son has reader 7.0 on his laptop and I can't find any programs that are
labeled Adobe acrobat xxx.

Check under C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat #.#\Reader or search the entire
C: drive for AcroRd32.exe.

Look in Add/Remove Programs and see if you have Acrobat Reader 5.0.

If the versions are both just the free Reader and not the full blown
application, you should uninstall 5.0 and install 7.0, just to cleanup your
system and Uninstall database.
