Adobe Acrobat Reader FIles will not open from MIE

C

Clark

MIE 6.0
Windows XP

When I click on an Adobe Acrobat Reader file, found on a web page, all I get
is a Beep sound and nothing opens up. When I use a different computer the
files open with no problem at all - so I know the links are OK. I assume it
must be some setting in MIE but which one??

Any Ideas

Look at the top edge of your Internet Explorer screen, just below the normal
toolbars - does an 'information bar' appear? It sounds like the download is
being blocked, but the info bar should give you the option to bypass the
blocking.

Hi Clark :)

In additon to the information Sandi has provided, you might try the
following and see it it helps:

IE browser software defaults Acrobat Reader to "OFF" to display PDF files.
You can restore the setting to"ON" by finding an Acrobat document and then
opening it.

Then click Edit> Preferences> Internet> check the box nect to "Display PDF
in browser"

If still no joy, try the information here:

Hope this helps :)
