Admin's password override command

I have a friend who has forgotten his Admin's password on
his XP box. I told him that according to Microsoft, they
only way to get back in was to reload the OS which means
reloading all of his apps too. I have found software from
Passware Inc. that will reset the password with your
installation CD and a floppy disk prepared by their
software but they want $195 for the software.

His high school son told him that he knows of an "Override
Command" that he can use once you boot into DOS that will
reset the password. The command is:

a188.g.akamaitech/f/188/920/id/

Is this true? I have never heard of this. I would like to
do a little research before I try this and was wondering
if you knew about this or any command I can use to reset
my friends password that doesn't cost $195.

If you can point me to anything on the Net I would
appreciate it.

My friend is new to computers and his son (A highschool
drop-out)is a self proclaimed guru although he needs my
help to connect a floppy ribbon cable. They couldn't wait
until I did a little research and went ahead and typed
that "command" in at the DOS prompt and they say it worked
except they need to reload the video drivers. He is on MS
Messenger with me now so they did get into the computer.

I don't have any information on this supposed reset
command. And his highschool friend is confusing security
bypasses with some web site:

There is another work around however. It may not work in
all cases, but it may be your only option.
