Lou

When I set up xp I set up one account myself as
administrator turned off guest account and deleted ASP.net
account whatever that was and now I am wondering if there
is another hidden administrator account I need to set up a
password for. Thanks for any insight you can give me to
look for any other accounts.

Hi Lou,

There is a built-in Administrator account (name: administrator) which be
accessible from safe mode for XP Home.

for XP Pro, pres CTRL+ALT+DEL at Welcome screen and type administrator and
login. Change the password.

Many thanks worked easily now have passwords on both
accounts. Just trying to close any potential security
problems. Thanks again.

There is a reserve account with the name "Administrator" which should be
kept in reserve for emergencies. You may have been asked for a password
for it at setup: anyway you can go to Start - Run and run
control userpasswords2

There (provided the 'Users must give username. . .' is checked) you can
select any user, including Administrator, and Reset Password.

And if you change the one for Administrator *Don't* forget it!

If you have Home, you will only be able to logon as Administrator by
booting in Safe Mode - in Pro you can also hit CTL-ALT-DEL twice at
'Welcome' to get the logon dialog and give it there

You're Welcome, Lou.
