ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT HIDES FILES

I recently set up a user guest account. Before I could set up a guest
account, I was prompted to create an "Administrator account" After I created
the administrator account I cannot find all my previous files and desktop!
How do I get back to my original explorer site?

Appreciate any help!

Your files are not hidden - they still reside in your
original profile folder. You can see them when you
log on under the same account name you used before.
If you cannot remember your original account name,
do this to see a list of all accounts:
- Click Start / Run / cmd {OK}
- Type this command:
net user {Enter}
Can you spot your original logon account? Log off,
then log on under this account. You will now see your
original files etc.

My original profile was "Administrator" but when I try to access, it says
there is already an account with this name and it doesn't have my files. ?

You apparently were using the built-in Administrator account for your
daily work. This is not recommended; you should keep the built-in
Administrator account for emergencies only.

Create a new user account (call it Wanda or whatever you like but not
Administrator or Admin). Log into "Wanda" once. Now log into the new
user account you made for visitors. You will be working from this account.

Follow the instructions at this link to copy the built-in Administrator
account to Wanda:

Copy a User Account - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=811151

After you are finished, log into the Wanda account and get it set up the
way you like. You may wish to delete the files in the built-in
Administrator account's My Documents so you don't have duplicates.
