Changing Guest Account

Can a Guest Account type be changed? I have two acconts set up.
Administrator & Guest. When I go account users and click on guest account the
only thing I can change is the picture and create a password. The "change
account type" is not there.

Is this possible?

No you can't change the Guest account privileges but you can create a new
account and give it limited to administrator privileges.

Really sorry. But I've XP Home right now. So the User account not available
in the Administrative Tools.

But, I've XP Pro in my office and if I remember right, to change an account
behaviour, only Administrative Tools has many options.

If by Administrator you mean the built-in administrator account, then take
note of this.
Please be aware that it is VERY BAD PRACTICE to use the built-in
Administrator account on a day-to-day basis and as your only account on the
computer. If the account gets corrupted, as it may well do, then your ONLY
way into the machine is by doing a repair install of XP. set up a User
account and give that Admin rights for daily use, leaving the built-in
Administrator account for emergency access only.

Set up another, limited user account and use that instead. Disable the
built in Guest account unless it's needed for some network purposes.

Also if by Administrator you mean the built in Administrator account it's
not good practice to use that account for day to day activities. That
account should be assigned a strong password and set aside to be used in
case something damages the normal working account.

Create another account with admin privileges and use that one. You can copy
the data and settings from the built in Administrator account to the new
account.

Lastly, when another account with admin privileges is created the built in
Administrator account will automatically be hidden. To login to it for XP
Pro from the welcome screen do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to bring up the classic
login box. Enter Administrator and the password assigned to it.

For XP Home you have to boot into Safe Mode to access the built in
Administrator account. It will appear on the welcome screen.

scroll down to the section on Guest account and you will see that you can
not change the guest account type which is what the poster wants to do.

Interesting. the MS Baseline security Advisor states that an enabled Guest
Account is a security risk......
