administrator prohibited access to CD DVD Rom drives

Yesterday we started getting the error message that the administrator had
prohibited access to the CD & DVD drives. We also have no access to the A
drive or the USB ports. We've run a virus scan and everything is clean. Only
changes that were made to the system were the microsoft upgrades. Anyone
else experiencing this? Any suggestions for how to fix?
