I am unable to download AT&T Yahoo security software after an trial of
Microsoft OneCare online security scan. I removed the OneCare software, and
used "search" to remove remainders of program. I tried to use AT&T security
and got errors. I deleted AT&T software (security suite only) and cannot
download again. When I go to download site, I get following error message:

"Internet Explorer Script Error

Line: 298
Char: 5
Error: Exception thrown and not caught
Code: 0
URL:http://att.software.yahoo.com/ysftc/p/att/v2/results?"

When I elect to continue running scripts on the page, I get a message saying
I cannot download as I must have administrative rights to install, etc. I
have checked the "users" in control panel and am an administrator (home
computer). Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Tom

I am having a similar problem! I was trying to install AT&T high speed
internet (which I believe includes the security software). I get the same
message saying I must have administrative rights, but I set myself as the
administrator when I bought the computer! I restarted in Safe Mode and
signed on as Admin but still could not get into control panes, task manager,
ect. ! I will let you know if I figure something out.

Must be a problem with AT&T DSL because I started having similar problems
after switching from Dial-up. My normal account, set up with Admin rights,
can't access the Users profiles in the control panel or install hardware,
etc. Also, when I look in My Computer - System Properties - Advanced - User
Profiles they all show up as "Account Unknown". When I boot up in Safe Mode
and log in under the main Administrator account, I still can't access the
User profiles in Control Panel. However, when I log in my normal account in
Safe Mode, I can access the User Profiles. Help !!!!
