I am currently having problems with my administrator account. This is an
inhertied problem.
One of the symptoms of this problem is with the Windows Update. I am unable
to install them at all.

So the simple question is, Is there a way to reset the Administrator (and/or
administrators group I presume) to it's original settings. I would like to
do this without reinstalling the System. It is my PDC and it has way too
much information that really needs to be saved. The system is being backed
up constantly, so as a last resort a reinstall may be used.

Any Ideas?

Are you applying a group policy for some reason that includes the
administrator account.

Not to my knowledge. But alot on this machine is. The only two groups thie
administrator account is in are Domain admins and Administrators. Other
than that. No.
