Administrator help!

My daughter and I are administrators on this machine, simply because she has
older programs which require her to be an adm. I would like to leave her as
adm. but would like to change where she cannot add new programs, whether
from control panel, or just inserting a disk, or downloading a file. Is
this possible and how?

Unfortunately you cannot do that. Once she is administrator she can do
anything. Even if you would restrict her, she could just change that
setting back...

Try to put her in the Power users group.
