John King

Under Start->All Programs-> I have lost
my 'Administrative tools'.
If you can help me find them i'd be most grateful.

Hi, John.

Right-click Start, then click Properties. Be sure the Start menu is
selected, then Customize | Advanced. In the Start menu items box, scroll
all the way down to System administrative tools and make your choice.

In the meantime, you can also get there with Start | Control Panel |
Administrative Tools.

Which I think is rather badly worded (and is a come on for a third party
tweaking program, I am always very cautious about these).

If you find the StartMenuAdminTools line in the right pane at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\

it is enough to highlight and delete the line (and logout and on again)
to get the tools back - the default is to show them,. You only need the
line if you want to set it to No
