Admin$ share

I have Windows 2000 Server installed on the E: drive. I need to have the
Admin$ share to install a program. I already went to Poledit and checked the
Create Hidden Drive Shares, and restarted the server. I still do not have
the share Admin$ that point to E:\WinNT.

Any ideas of what could be wrong? Can this work if I have the operating
system in E: instead of C:.

Thank you

Try a search on "Admin Share" w/o the quotes in the Windows 2000 Help. I'm not sure why you are using poledit in Windows 2000. You should be using Group Policy.

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\lanmanserver\parameters\AutoShareServer=1

This is a REG_DWORD value.
