Addresses in Vista Window Mail

When writing an e-mail in Vista Windows Mail, I select an address from
Contacts and the person's name and e-mail address appears in the To: box.
When I used Outlook Express in previous editions of Windows, just the
person's name appeared. I prefer not to send my contacts e-mail addresses out
with every e-mail to multiple people, how can I set Vista's Window's Mail to
do this? For example this is what I want to appear (To: John) and NOT this
(John<[email protected]>)

This has been discussed here many times.
What you see on the 'To' line when you send an email is not the same thing
as what the recipient sees when he receives that email.
A WM-sent email is pretty much identical to an OE-sent email.

If you send to multiple people, use Bcc addressing (same as in OE).

When you send an email to multiple people in the To or CC field in OE or Windows Mail, the recipient need only click on the name or view the properties to reveal the address.

I'm pretty sure that when you sent email with Outlook Express, you were
sending out everyone's email address to every person that got the message.

Vista Windows Mail and Outlook Express may show different things in the
"To:" fields, but the data sent is the same.

What's sent is the same as what was actually sent in OE. It was just that
OE didn't show the email address unless you pressed Ctrl-F3 or clicked File
| Properties.
