I actually did not create the RSS Feeds....that is what "Bugged" me,
Outlook
did it when it installed. I even clicked NO to Sync with other
Microsoft
RSS
Feeds.
I opened my Default pst file, went to TOOLS/ACCT SETTINGS/RRS FEED Tab.
There is Nothing there; its Blank.
You wrote it will create "New Delivery Location". What should I look
for?

All you did was remove the delivery location. You didn't remove the
feed
which will create a new delivery location. Why don't you just remove
the
feed? You created it. Go to the same place and remove it. For most of
us
that would be Tools > Account Settings... > RSS Feeds

Didn't I do that (removed the feeds) when I deleted the Sub Folders
that
under RRS Feeds? This will stop the data from downloading into
Outlook.....Correct?
Is there are better way.....Preferred way?

You don't change your profile settings when you reinstall Outlook,
so
of
course it will keep downloading your feeds. Why not just remove the
feeds?

Thanks.....I may just leave well enough alone....
But there is something else that "Bugs" me about Outlook 2007.
Its
the
RSS
Feeds. I have installed Outlook several times over the past
months
due
to
unrelated problems having nothing to do wiith Outlook. I did not
realize
the
install automatically created 3 RSS Feeds Folders and actually
would
download
news/articles, etc into these folders. I thought when I clicked
NO
as
to
Sync the RSS Feeds with other Microsoft Products it would NOT
Downloads
data.
I think I have stopped the downloads permanetly (correct me if I
am
wrong)...by Deleting the 3 Folders under the RSS Feeds
Folder.....Correct?
There simily should be a Prompt that asks the installer if they
want
to
download data into RSS Feeds....as opposed to just...doing it.

No harm in leaving both. You can also remove the old, invalid
reference
here:
Tools > Account Settings > Address Book Tab > Outlook Address
Book
Change... >

The problem is Microsoft's not yours. The Outlook Address
Book
Service
is
a
notoriously nasty little MAPI utility that has never
worked
as
it
should.
It
is completely unable to keep track of changes you make to
your
data
file.
Whenever you change your data file, it will retain the
links
to
your
previous data file and fail to pick up the links to a new
one.
You
must
physically remove old links and establish the new ones
yourself.
This deficiency has been reported in every beta of Outlook
since
Outlook
98.
It is, therefore, no longer a bug. It is a feature. The
message
here
is
that
Microsoft places no importance on the address book view,
has
no
intention
of
making it useful, and doesn't think you should use it
(ed.).

I did fix the problem prior to reading your reply, but I
still
would
like
to
know what I may have done wrong, or, what I may need to
fix.
I opened the Address Book that initially was blank...the
one I
am
using
with
my default pst file. "Contacts" was displayed in the
upper
right
block.....I
clicked on TOOLS/OPTIONS. The "Adressing" Window
opened.
When I
opened
the
"Show this address list First" I saw...Oiutlook Adress
Book/Accounts/Business Contacts/Contacts/Contacts. In
otherwords,
this
list
displayed two "Contacts". Under the "Keep personal
addresses
in"....the
list
displayed Accounts/Business Contacts/Contacts/Contacts.
Again....2
Contacts
were in the lists. "When sending mail, check names
using
these
address
lists
in the following order"....displayed Contacts/Business
Contacts/Contacts
(again Contacts displayed twice).
In both the the SHOW THIS ADDRESS....and KEEP
PERSONAL...the
1st
CONTACTS
was highlighted. I highlighted the 2nd CONTACTS in each
menu.......and
my
Address Book opened under the pst file I am using.
Are the 2 CONTACT in the menus displayed because I
created
a
pst
file
when
Outlook 2007 configured my e-mail Acct? The 2nd
CONTACTS
list
was
from
the
pst file I copied and pasted from my other PC (also
running
Outllok
2007)?
Should I delete\Remove the Contacts in these menus that
were
originally
highlighted when my Address Book was Blank? Or just
leave
it
as
is?
Or did I not properly close the pst File that was
created
when
Outlook
configured my e-mail acct. I just would have seemed to
me
even
with
2
CONTACTS that each would have been connected to its
appropriate
pst
file
so
when you opened that file....the Address Book for that
file
would
open.
What should I do?
