Address Book

Hi,

I have a user that's on Windows 2000, Outlook 2000 and connects to her
mailbox which is on an Exchange server. Is there a way to change the order in
which the address lists appear when you select the address book? I've already
stepped the user through selecting the folder they need first but that's not
the way they claim it was set up before. It checks the Global Address list
first but the user states they had the contacts folder above the GAL instead
of all the way at the bottom of the list. Any assistance or suggestions would
be appreciated. Thanks.

Click on the Address Book icon, then Tools, Options, and arrange your address
book order there.

What I'm trying to do is sort the order the address book listings appear when
you select the address book. For example, currently it is set to the Global
address list first and contacts is all the way at the bottom. The user claims
they had "Show names from" set to Global Address List and when the hit the up
key, contacts was directly above instead of being all the way at the bottom.
Using tools, options does not change the way the other address books appear.
Contacts is still at the bottom of the list when changing it using tool,
options. Thanks again for your help.

Hi, thanks for replying but I went through this already. Thanks
anyway.

Open the Address Book and click Tools>Options. In the "Show this address
book first" drop-down, select the Contacts folder. How does this not meet
your needs?

Hi Brian,

This does not meet my needs because this has already been done and it did
not solve the issue according to the way the user stated it was set up
before. I did some more research on this and found that an update for
Exchange Server 5.5 prevents that change. Thanks anyway for your help.
