|Outlook's "Address Book" is a virtual view of the Contacts folder. Any
contact you add to your contacts folder that includes an electronic
address (email or fax) will automatically populate the Address book since
the AB pulls it information from the Contacts folder.

duplication of contacts but in another format. Export is no problem,
but importing into another program can be a PITA. I'm thinking to use
FileMaker Pro as the other program. It's easy to prevent duplicates.
BTW, does Outlook 2002 have a way to reveal the DATE on which a
contact was added or last modified? That would save me a lot of
trouble.

|Export...) and decide which is the best for you. Then export your
Contacts
|Folder to that file type.
|Do not consider this a reliable backup of your Contacts, however, and do
not
|try to restore your Contacts from it. To backup up your Contacts, backup
|your PST file.
