address book and old emails

When I got my most recent windows upgrade it upgraded Outlook and IE as
well. Because I was not aware of these changes and the fact that these would
CLEAR my address book and previous emails I made no save files. So now I
have no address and no previous emails...which is a problem. Can this be
fixed?
