Cannot link address book to contacts folder after memory upgrade

My memory was upgraded while I was out and now my address book is gone. I
still have all my contacts but when I follow Instructions on
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;287563&Product=ol2003
for linking my contacts to address book (Step 2 of instructions) it does not
work. When I go to address a new email and click on the address book icon to
input an email address, the following error appears "The address list could
not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated with this address list could
not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have
permissions. For information on how to remove this folder fromthe Outlook
Address Book, see Microsoft Office Outlook help."
I checked the permissions and it reads "unrestricted" so permissions is not
the problem. The box is checked in the contacts/file/folder/properties for
contacts/outlook address book tab/show this folder as an email address book
and it is titled contacts. It still will not link up. I still get the same
error message. (this is on a different computer than the one I am using right
now if that makes a difference)
