Address blank line not suppressing

I have added a new AddressLayout in Auto Text per Word's website
instructions. I have entered braces { } via the keyboard and hard returns at
the end of each line. When I drop in an address from my address book, blank
lines are not being suppressed. Any suggestions?

Braces need to be entered using Ctrl-F9, not typed.

No, not in the AddressLayout AutoText entry. But they do need to be inserted
in a rather odd way to ensure suppression of blank lines.

They have been provided here in the past day or so. See "WD2000: Blank Lines
Not Suppressed with AddressLayout AutoText" at

I have also tried the suggestion in the referenced article (using shift +
enter). This is still not suppressing the lines. Do you have any additional
suggestions? Thanks

Have you inserted the braces at the beginnings of the lines as illustrated?

This is how I have it set up:

{<PR_GIVEN_NAME>} {<PR_SURNAME>}
{<PR_TITLE>}
{<PR_DEPARTMENT>}
{<PR_COMPANY_NAME>}
{<PR_STREET_ADDRESS>}
{<PR_LOCALITY>}, {<PR_STATE_OR_PROVINCE>} {<PR_POSTAL_CODE>}

Do you see any errors?

Yes, did you read the referenced article at all? It's supposed to be:

{<PR_GIVEN_NAME>} {<PR_SURNAME>
}{<PR_TITLE>
}{<PR_DEPARTMENT>
}{<PR_COMPANY_NAME>
}{<PR_STREET_ADDRESS>
}<PR_LOCALITY>, <PR_STATE_OR_PROVINCE> <PR_POSTAL_CODE>
