Address bar search not working

When i search in IE6 WIndows 2000 for a name eg Microsoft
it used yo go to MSN search page. Now I get an error
message saying " The page cannot be displayed" and
http:///? microsoft appears in address bar. I have tried
changing search options but without success help

First eliminate any scumware.

CWShredder at that page did the trick. I thought Norton
would protect me but obviously need to be aware of other
issues

These things aren't viruses ... they won't propogate from your machine.
