IE6 Doing serches in Address bar dont work

I have went into IE tools, Internet Options, Advanced and
Have Serch from address bar- Display results and go to
most likely site.

I click apply and then ok

Close IE and reopen it.

I type MICROSOFT in the address bar then hit enter

then the window says THE PAGE CANNOT BE DISSPLAYED

And the Address bar now says http:///? microsoft

I am using Windows XP Pro.

I have all the latest updates

Download all of these utilities and scan the system.
