Address Bar in IE Windows XP

While surfing yesterday I must have visited a site that
has set a default search for itself on my address bar.
Therefore, every time I enter another search IE takes me
to the same site regardless of what address I enter.
This happens only when I enter www.....it doesn't happen
if I type http://..... Can anyone tell me how to recover
my original search settings??

what's the name of it?
Delete internet history,delete cookies, and re-set your
default setting and reboot.
