Address bar doesn't work

If I type an address into the address field in IE and hit enter nothing
happens. I have to type it into the address field on the yahoo tool bar
instead. I wasn't crazy about installing the yahoo tool bar but it was
bundled with Nero so I allowed it. Not sure if that is what is causing this
or not. I have already tried uninstalling the yahoo tool bar but when I do
that, I can't enter addresses at all. I mean, I can type them in but nothing
will happen when I hit enter. How do I fix this so I can use the address bar
in IE and not the one in the Yahoo tool bar?
