Additional explore window

When I click a link that opens another explorer window
it, the new window, doesn't open full size. It used to
but something has changed. The new window also opens off
to the right side as well. What changed or what did I do?

Stretch that second window out to the desired size- don't use maximize.
Close other IE windows. Close that window last.
