adding title slide

I received a ppt presentation that did not have a title slide and I wanted to
add one. In Slide master view, there is a title slide but it doesn't appear
in the presentation. I'm not sure why this happens. how can I add a title
or get the other one to show. Thanks

If there is a Title Slide in the Slide Master View all you have to do is to
create a new slide, click "Format", "Slide layout", and change the layout to
the Title Slide layout.

In Normal view, choose Insert, New Slide.
Depending on your PPT version and the phase of the moon and stuff, it may ask
you what kind of slide you want; choose Title.
Or it may just insert another of whatever type of slide you're currently on.
In that case, choose Format, Slide Layout and pick the Title Slide layout.
