What must I do to be able to flash in words into a slide, after I have moved
into the next slide? I believe it is what is called transition....but I do
not see where I can adde text to transition into a slide? Do you know?
Thanks for your help!

You are looking for Custom Animation. Type the words into a text box and then
choose Custom Animation from the Slide Show menu.

Slide Transition only applies on slides. You can add animations on text so
that they animate during the slide show. Click Slide Show > Custom Animation.
Then add the effects you want from there. Is that what you are referring to?
Holler back if you need more help.

Hello Shawn:
Thanks for your reply. I am wondering where do I add words after I select
custom animation? What I would like to do is create a presentation where
once I show a slide, I can add text with bullets to list items I want to
display. Where do I add in the text so that they appear one after the other
(by the click of the mouse)?

First add the text. Then add the Custom Animation to the shape with the
text.
