Adding NewsGroups to Outlook 2003

I want to add News to the Go menu so I can select
newsgroups I want to add. The help menu says to use the
Standard toolbar and click "Toolbar Options" to add News
to the GO menu. There isn't a "Toolbar Option" on the
Standard toolbar which is the only toolbar I have active
anyway. Does anyone out there know how to add Newsgroups
to Outlook 2003? Thanks Sam

According to MS here is how it is done (see below). I went
thru this process and it worked, however, the next time I
clicked on the "GO" menu, the newreader command was no
longer there and trying to repeat the process below proved
fruitless since the "News" command was no longer in the
list
So... I got it to work once and that was it.
Maybe you will have better luck.


On the Standard toolbar click the Toolbar Options arrow .
Point to Add or Remove Buttons, and then click Customize.
Click the Commands tab.
In the Categories list, click Go.
In the Commands list, click News, and drag it, without
releasing the mouse, until it rests over the Go menu. When
the menu displays a list of commands, point to where you
want the command to appear, and then release the mouse.
Click the Go menu, and then click News.

There's a little more to it than that.
To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

Thanks I had the same issue only works once...typical
Microsoft program put out before it was ready. Thanks for
