adding new data to pie chart

I added new data to my pie chart and the new slice is the same color and the
slice on the left of it. There are 6 columns.

Look at your slide color scheme. Assuming slices 5 and 6 are the same, then
I bet the colors for "shadow" and "title text" are the same. (Or if you mean
the first and last slices are the same, then I'd imagine the color scheme
colors for "title text" and "fills" are the same.)
