Adding mutiple sound files to presentation

I have added mutiple songs to a Powerpoint presentation. Through custom
animations, I have told each song at which slide to start and stop. The
previous song does not stop at the slide designated but continues to
play even after the next song has begun. Please advise. Thanks.
