Adding IE to Quick Launch

I've just updated to IE7 and have lost the IE icon from my Quick Launch bar -
neither does it show on the desktop.

How can I recover it on to both QL and desktop?

Thx !

The way that comes to mind, is go to Start, Programs, IE, make a shortcut
and drag it to the quick launch bar.

For any program, there are several ways to create a shortcut icon. Here's
one: in My Computer or Windows Explorer go to the executable for the program
( in this case, C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe), and
right-drag it to the desktop. When you release the right mouse button,
choose "Create shortcut here."

That puts in on the desktop. To then also put it on the Quick Launch Bar,
right-drag the desktop shortcut to the Quick Launch Bar. This time when you
release it, choose "Copy here."

Want My Computer, My Docutments, Internet Explorer icons back on the
desktop. You can control whether they display using the Control Panel:
Open Control Panel
Double-click Display icon
On the Desktop tap:
Click Customize Desktop button
On the General tap, you can select to display on the Desktop one or more of
the following:
My Documents
My Computer
My Network Places
Internet Explorer

If necessary drag the Internet Explorer icon to the quick launch bar.

Thanks v.much - your method worked a treat.

Don's couldn't because Internet Explorer isn't listed under Start/All
Programs, and Ken's couldn't because the iexplorer.exe file isn't listed in
the Program Files/Internet Explorer folder.

(I should have mentioned I'm using Windows XP Prof.)
