Hi
I had a 'Show Desktop' icon on my Quick Launch tool bar, but it disappeared.
I found it very useful.
How do I get it back?
Thank You
Seamus Dowling

Hi Milt
Followed your link and followed the instructions. Got it back and dragged it
to Quick Launch.
Thanks for your help

Seamus,
I rename the following shortcuts in the Quick Launch toolbar in the taskbar:
Launch Internet Explorer
Outlook Express
Show Desktop

TO:
01 Launch Internet Explorer
02 Outlook Express
03 Show Desktop

So if they ever move, I can always Right click on a hidden shortcut, "Sort by
Name", and those three will put back to the front of the line of Shortcuts for
the toolbar.

Create a text file in Notepad as follows:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Save it as Show Desktop.scf then drag it to the Quick launch bar.

Or just click on this link:

Restore/Add Show Desktop to Quick Launch (Line 61)

Also note that you can do this with a keyboard shortcut: the
combination of the Windows key + D or the Windows key + M.

Seamus,

Glad we could help.
