Adding hyperlink to heading style

C

Chemistification

I would like to make all my headings hyperlink to the top of the page
automatically (heading 1, heading 2 etc) I'm not sure how to do this. I
think i can modify the hyperlink style but it doesn't give me the same
options that i have when i use the headings. Any idea on how to make
heading 1 or heading 2 have hyperlinks to the top?

Hope this is clear

I'm confused about what you're trying to do. You're trying to hyperlink the
headings on a page to the top of the page? Why?

Maybe dictionary-style running heads?

Ah, that makes sense. That wouldn't really be a hyperlink, but I can see how
that interpretation could be derived.

You were then supposed to give the link to a (your?) article on
inserting them, for Chemistification's benefit -- I used them once
upon a time, but I don't remember what you do to the STYLEREF fields
to get them to change correctly.

Well, there's plenty on StyleRef fields (even the dictionary-style ones) in
Word's Help, but if my article at
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/StyleRef.htm offers any additional
information that might be useful, then there's the link.
