Adding Header and Footer

I want to add the header and footer in the powerpoint. But it seems like not
function for a particular file only. It does not show the header and footer
although I've added it. Other powerpoint file can add the header and footer.
Pls advice.
 
Check the Slide Master and make sure the footer placeholder hasn't been
"misplaced" off the slide.

Click on View, Master, Slide Master. Then click on Format, Master Layout.
