Adding Filepath and or Filename to Footer

I have read through many of the posts but can't seem to find an answer to
this question:

There does not seem to be an option to put in a Filepath code or Filename
code into the footer. All I can see in the footer are options called
[Footer], [Date & Time], [Slide Number], but these fields are set as defaults.

I would like to put in an automatic updating/populating field code in the
footer so that the filepath & or filename appears in the slide because we
have so many documents that are being worked on, it would help others to see
where they are stored. Is there any way to do this.

The only option that I see under the checkbox for Footer (in the Master View
under Headers & Footers) is a blank field but one cannot select any thing to
add in terms of a field code. My guess is that whatever information is
entered there is static and not dynamic.

Looking forward to hearing back on any tips and tricks for this.

Thanks, we will try adding these macros to PPT VB and let you know how it
works out!

You have to run a macro to add the file path and name to the footer in PPT.
http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q222797 gives sample
code to do this.

For automation, seeHow can I get my code to run automatically when a
presentation opens?
