I would like to add a program shortcut to the Start Menu but cannot find
where to do it for this location.

What I would like to do is to add the Search Utility "Agent Ransack" right
above the Start Menu's entry for "XP's "Search". Is there a way to do that?

Thanks.

Right-click on the program's exe-file and choose "Pin to start menu".

Nop such choice when I right-click on AgentRansack.exe. I am running XP
Home.

Click the START BUTTON|ALL PROGRAMS|AGENT RANSACK. The subfolder should
appear. Right-click on Agent Ransack and choose the Pin to Start Menu
choice. I see it here.

However, it will not place the shortcut exactly where you want it, but
instead at the top-left of the list - above the divider.

Hmmm. I don't have that option, either. I use Windows Classic display. I
have to right click an open spot on my task bar, choose Properties, Start
Menu, Customize, Advanced. There I can manipulate the Start menu to my
heart's content.

Aha. I was right clicking on its real exe within its own folder, not from
the start button.

However, you must have some special setting. It's still not there on my PC.
Are you using XP Home?
