Adding an item to be blocked

Is there a way I can add an item that a user has "allowed"
so it will be blocked in the future? Maybe I looked past
this ability.

I don't think so--I suspect you need to remove it, and then block it on a
reinstall.

Tools, real-time protection, view security agent events will show you
precisely what object was approved. If it was a BHO, for example, you could
then go to tools, advanced tools, system explorers and block or remove that
item.
