Adding a Wireless Network Connection

I recently installed a Cisco PCI wireless addapter into my Dell Dimension
4100. The operating system is Windows 2000. I was able to successfully
install the card and connect to the wireless network. I have not been able
to connect to the internet. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to add
a wireless network connection? The only options avaialble are to add a dial
up connection or a LAN.

I'm connected to a Netgear RangeMax Next wireless N router. I'm able to
connect to the internet through this router with my laptop which has an Intel
PRO/Set Wireless card. For some reason, when I try to connect to the
internet with my desktop with the newly installed Cisco wireless adapter, the
only options available are dial up or LAN. An option to connection via
wireless is not being made available.

You might need to change the adapter bindings order also from a command
prompt;

ipconfig /all

and post the result.

Right-click My Network Places, Properties|Advanced|Advanced
Settings|Adapters and Bindings, then in the "Connections" box, you can set
the desired bindings order.
