have a CDRW drive. it all of a sudden disappeared. when i right click a file
and hit send to it no longer shows the E: drive option. any ideas on how to
modify this and get the E: drive back onto the 'send to' menue. any ideas
would be appreciated, thanx, Kleo

hi, double click on my computer so that all your drives are shown, then hit
START, RUN and type "sendto" then just drag your cdrw icon into this folder,
but before you do this it might be worth checking that the recording tab is
ticked in the properties tab of the cd drive concerned. pete ;-)

Hi Kleo,

Did you install any third party burning software or disable the imapi
burning service?

If you do not have third party CD writing software installed like InCD or
DLA (often called packet writing software) you will not be able to use the
Sendto option to send to a shortcut of your CD-R/W drive icon. However if
you are only using XP's built in CD writing process then you can create a
shortcut to XP's CD Burning cache directory and place that in the Sento
folder. See here http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/saving_files_to_cd.htm
Please note that third party cd writing software often disables XP's built
in software so if you have something like Nero or RecordNow Max installed it
may have disabled XP's software.
