adding 3 sub accounts to Vista windows mail from master ATT yahoo

I already have master account set up on Att yahoo mail and have one account
working good in windows mail. After four hours with advanced tech support was
told you can only have one account in Vista windows mail.

You can set up additional users and each one can have their own Windows
Mail. Not like OE with identities.

No. You can set up three POP3 accounts on WinMail but they will all go to
the same Inbox unless you use a Message Rule like:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the message is from the mail.fjsmjs.com account
Move it to the fjsmjs folder
and Stop processing more rules

sends all of the mail to the original account. I have another response that
says i have to change some settings. I will let you know. Thanks for your

Not enough information, but this will happen if they are aliases for the
same mailbox on the server.

You can set up 16 POP3 accounts on WinMail but they will all go to
the same Inbox unless you use a Message Rule like:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the message is from the mail.fjsmjs.com account

You can also set up separate folders for each account and try using message
rules to direct each account to the specific folder. Right now I'm having
trouble with the message rules, but that is how it should work.

I am also having the same problem. I've set up 3 folders under In Box, set 3
different rules. Also when I check to include sub folders under In box it
unchecks it when I go back to review. This works in Outlook and OE with no
problem... I don't understand why the 'include subfolders' box keeps getting
unchecked.

Sorry jaziro, but I do not understand your problem. Your description of the
problem is not clear.

Please start a thread of your own, with the detail, including any complete
error messages that WM generates.

Please tell us what you wish to achieve.

being delivered to sub folders of different names. I have my main email
address and 2 other email addresses. I've set up folders under In Box (and
tried setting up under Local Folders) for each email address. I set up rules
for each... "Apply this rule after the message arrives Where the To or CC
line contains '(e-mail address removed)' or 'name' and Move it to the 'named' folder. It
works when I select each rule separately land then browse for each folder and
apply... but then it reverts back and all emails end up going to just one
email folder.

Try enabling the option in each mail rule to 'stop processing more rules' in
box 2 of the rules?

For incoming mail rules, also use the 'move up' option, that will put the
rule to the top of the list, and be processed first, along with the option
enabled in my previous post.

I tried your suggestion and it did not work. I have 3 rules and it seems that
I cannot select different folders for incoming mail for each. When you select
a folder to direct incoming for one folder it applies to all. I tried the
stop processing more rules... now what?

I haven't experimented with this, but maybe WM has a problem with
those folders being sub-folders of Inbox. Have you tried it with putting
those folders on the same level as Inbox (making them a sub-folder
of Local Folders)?
