Adding 2K dual boot to XP system

I have a system with XP installed on the C drive and I have just installed
2K onto the D partition with a dual boot 2 problems have come up

1. When I choose XP from the boot menu, it gives me an error saying that
Win2000 could not boot because the \windows\system32\config\system file is
corrrupt or missing. How do I correct this so I can boot into both?

2. For some reason, I have a D drive and a F drive now. I want to get one of
these drives back to C. Any ideas?

i have the same problem but the other way around i had 2k
installed 1st and then installed xp and i havedone a
repar but it hant worked i also tried to repair the
registry with chkreg it said it repaired it but it didnt
and i have also tried puting the system.alt and the
system file from the repair flder in winnt into the
system32\config folder then reboot i can then boot to 2k
but once i reboot i am unable to boot back to 2k i get
the error again. I have still been unable to find a
solution to the problem
