Add Titles to Slide Navigator

Z

Zyvind

I have two questions related to the use of the slide
navigator in Powerpoint:

1. How can I add slide titles to the navigator, so that
instead of displaying "slide 1, Slide 2,..", the navigator
displays the titles of the slides?

2. Is there a faster way (when using a mouse or a remote)
to access the navigator than right-click - Go - Slide
Navigator?

Thanks in advance

It ordinarily does, but for that to happen you have to put text in
PowerPoint's title placeholders so it knows that that particular wad of text
IS the title.

To see what I mean, try this:

Choose Insert, New Slide
Make its layout Title and Text or any of the others that includes a title.
Click each of the "Click Here" blocks on the slide and type something.
Anything.

Notice that the text you type appears in the outline pane or outline view
depending on which version of PPT you have.

The text you typed into the title placeholder should also now appear in the
slide navigator.
2. Is there a faster way (when using a mouse or a remote)
to access the navigator than right-click - Go - Slide
Navigator?

None that I know of.
