add/remove windows components broken

When i click on add/remove windows components it cycles through
configuration components, says it's successful and that's it. I never
get into changing windows components.

Hi there John,

Try getting to the Add/Remove Windows Components again, and once it fails,
go to the System and Application logs and check for any errors. If you can,
try to get us an Event ID and Source to track down.

You can do this by right clicking on My Computer, then clicking on Manage.
You will see the Event Viewer on the left side of the console. Click on the
+ and then highlight each log.
