Add/Remove Programs will not run on XP Pro

[BVM]

I've tried repeatedly to remove some unwanted programs,
but the Add/Remove App won't run. XP has sent numerous
error messages back to MS, but I would like to find out
if others are having the same problem, and how to correct
it. The error message says it has something to do with
the rundll32.exe file. That files tag says that it is "A
DLL RUN AS A APP". Any help would be appreciated.
