I went into Add/remove programs under Control Panel, and many/most of the
programs installed on my PC do not display there, and the change/remove
button is absent on the ones that are there. A couple of programs that I
installed in the past week do show there, along with their respective
change/remove buttons. Any suggestions to fixing this problem, or how this
could have happened? Other than this my PC is purring along just fine.
Thanks in advance for any help offered.

I have the same problem that you are describing....Have you come up with a
solution yet?

I have something similar. In XP home, Add/Remove failes to populate with the
installed program names. Very strange and no solution found yet.

one solution is to install spybot, use the tools section in advanced view to
unistall any programs??

Well, it seems I was just impatient. although I watched the screen for fully
five minutes while add/remove programs was trying to populate, I gave up and
went to bed. When I came back to my computer next morning (it had been
running overnight), there it was, populated. There were onl;y two screenfuls
of programs so one wonders why it took so long. However, I successfully
removed the program I wanted to and all seems to be well now.

Try if this helps:
"All Programs May Not Be Displayed in Add/Remove Programs Tool"
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q240/3/48.asp

Programs can also be removed with TweakUI
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Note: Version 2.10 requires Windows XP Service Pack 1 or Windows Server
2003.

Cheers m8 had the same problem myself,Spybot worked fine to delete programs!!
